Final project of the Typography 2 class. This project asks to hand made one 14 inches tall and 4 inches width, three-dimensional letter and the letter can be used in any material and any typeface. After making the letter, the letter needs to be placed in a place that is meaningful to the students, and students need to photograph the scene. These pictures need to be printed on a 4 * 6 hard card and bound by a hard cover and a robber band.
Environmental Project explores the possibilities of what the letter can do by adding into the environment we lived in today. Having the chance to use letter in real life and giving the letter a real feeling is what this project aiming for. Since graphic designers today are only feeling the emotion of the typefaces and letters on the computers, by hand-making the actual letter itself provides a better and stronger connection to the letter and the typeface.
